I went out to get gas and ended up stopping in two small towns (Ellicott City and Sykesville). Some of my favorite local ones. It was a bit chilly but I put the top down after gassing up. Driving the country roads getting to and from them. And yes some exercise walking each of them for a little bit.
From a mother with 3 small children hitting Firehouse Creamery to a couple watching the Patapsco flow by. Joined by the same railroad tracks that go through both towns.

This morning’s event of the bridge collapse has left a cloud over the day. I was so upbeat this morning before I saw this sad news. I had started a post and ended up trashing it and not being able to think till I got out for a few minutes and cleared my head with the camera.
Tomorrow is Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving. We are going for lunch or dinner. They donate all sales to local charities I believe.
Random Thoughts of the Day
- It’s ok to waste a part of the day but never the whole day.
- I’m going cold turkey from Jelly Beans till after Easter.
- I wonder if all the people watching that bridge collapse will be more nervous driving over big bridges from now on.
- I remember going under the Key Bridge with our friend Dan in his boat.
