Angle

What is my angle early this morning. Like the tower, partially upright. Tired and mentally spent I don’t know what I’m doing yet. I stayed up way too late watching hoops with the boys and then doing some photo editing till early this morning.

I can’t wait till the sweet corn is in from the Eastern Shore this year. Photo by Mike Hartley

But like the field behind the tower I will look towards the sun this morning and move with the days breeze and grow as a person. A good day to reflect on some things, like priorities.

I pulled the cover off the car and I need to get to work detailing it a bit. I think I’ll pull a few of my favorite CD’s out and go for a cruise in the afternoon on this sunny day. And that means a Cherry Snowball as I head home from the ride.

I’m doing that to avoid looking at my to-do list. It’s long and full of needed attention but so is life and that is a higher priority today.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • The song Dangerous by the Doobie Brothers is a good riding tune.
  • So much to accomplish today and only 12 hours left.
  • I’ve never picked up a guitar but some days I feel like grabbing one and plugging it into a big amp and going to work. Other days I long to climb behind a drumset and pound away. I guess that is the good thing about singing, I can bust out when I want, and of course when people aren’t around.
  • It would be nice outside without that strong wind, but that’s March.
  • I sense a good summer ahead.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
