Let it roll Monday

Let’s get trucking this Monday morning. I rose at 3 am and felt I got a jump on the day. It’s going to be a good one loaded with both chores and fun. The first 4 hours of the day have been a blast catching up on communications, writing, and editing while enjoying music.

Nothing compact about this. Load’em up, let’s roll. Photo by Mike Hartley

I’m headed out to wash 3 vehicles, then fire up the mower to cut and trim, a dentist appointment this afternoon, and the game this evening. That’s a full day.

I find it interesting that many are so enthralled about the eclipses today. I get the significance and infrequency of the event. For some reason, it doesn’t interest me to catch it live. Now sunrise this morning was another matter. It was nice and I was up to appreciate it.

It’s also the Final 4 game day. College Basketballs National Championship game. I can feel myself missing it already. The pro game while good, doesn’t hold the excitement. At least it’s a summer filled with anticipation for the coming season of Maryland basketball with a new stud in the center position to build around.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • I have not lost my mechanics repair touch completely it seems.
  • Thank goodness for headphones, otherwise, few would sleep around me.
  • How do you know you’re in the wrong neighborhood? Everyone else has a yard service but you.
  • A feeling that this season is going to necessitate the chainsaw coming out.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
