I observed these two wonderful sculptures on Old Court Road for a while now. I tried to get a shot or two from the car but they were a distance from the road.
Yesterday I stopped at the edge of one of the two entrances to the driveway and started to take a shot from the fence line.
I try very hard to respect people’s privacy and property. Well just as I was starting to shoot the homeowner waved me down. So I entered and met a very nice gentleman whose name I wrote down but didn’t secure in the convertible down the road.
He was so generous with his time and allowed me to take a few shots of the carvings that I didn’t want to misremember his name. But I will stop and thank him and maybe drop a print in the mailbox. And I will update this post.
He shared a bit of history about the home and property as well as the people from Pennsylvania who did the carvings. If I remember correctly I believe he said they were done over 9 days.
They are nice works and made me think if I was capable of pulling off something like this myself.
It certainly would be an ambitious project. But I do have two oak trees in front that are struggling.
This is a real shed on the side of the property.
