Rest of the Rally

I had 10 more shots to share from the Rally at Turf Valley from this past weekend.

I’m trying to find angles and lines highlighting the car’s best attributes.

Getting the depth of paint and color right is always a challenge. I never seem to do them justice.

The lines on most of today’s late-model cars don’t do it for me. Yeah, the horsepower and technology are great but the styling loses me.

It could be the era I grew up in but I think it’s more than that. First, there is no chrome on the car anymore.

I mean, chrome and whitewalls. Simple but stated. Chrome bumpers, chrome trim, and emblems. Engine bays you could climb into.

Pony’s going left and right above. I’m sure the ones pointing forward win when the key is inserted.

Chrome and custom paint. I love the artistic touches added to some. And when done right it works.

I think deciding what color to repaint my car would be the toughest, of all decisions. And then you have to decide on graphics or not.

With the rain forecast for today and tonight, the cover will stay on my ride, but this weekend is looking good for cruising and that is what we do.

I think it’s almost time to retire that old Kodak z812is. I wasn’t pleased with the sharpness of these shots. My phone may be sharper than this camera. And it should be. I think it’s at least 16 or 17 years old. I believe I’ll put it away till bad weather or risky situations where I might not want to damage the Nikon.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
