What was the hardest personal goal you’ve set for yourself? – More personal information is requested from the daily writing prompt.
To be honest I’m not a big goal setting anymore. I’m more of I see something needing to be done and get doing it. I remember the working days of setting the yearly goals ahead or in performance reviews being asked what were my long-term goals.
Some of the professional stuff and changes in roles were pretty hard. Starting my own business with two partners was hard.
I didn’t know it and never thought about it at the time, as a personal goal. But when we got married and started a family it became the personal, and the hardest goal. Raising a family is hard if you take the proper responsibility and interest in it.
It’s also the greatest reward if you put the effort and love into it. But it is the hardest thing you will ever do over the longest period of your life. The bonus part is when things start to get easy as they get into adulthood, is when you’re blessed with grandchildren and start over again with just the easy and fun parts.
