Weekend rearview

The sun has set on one beautiful weekend and we’re off to a good start this week. The weather looks great, we have some wonderful plans and life is good.

I got away this past weekend, with two of my best friends and we had a fine time. We ate well and sprinkled in a few activities like boating and skeet shooting at a great farm on the eastern shore. We watched sunsets and ships go by and had a lot of fun.

Today is full of chores, vaccinations, car detailing, shotgun cleaning, mowing, and then the Miata Club meeting late this afternoon. Retirement life isn’t bad.

I’ve got a few hundred photos to edit, some writing ideas, and oh yeah, I got to write and send a letter to my granddaughter. Good thing I finally got a good night’s sleep last night. That string of 4-5 hours a night wasn’t right.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • A weekend without TV. That is nice. Might have to expand that.
  • People have different ideas of commitments.
  • Water is both beautiful and intimidating at the same time.
  • My right knee is in pain.
  • I have to move on from a few things.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
