Maybe the last nice stretch of weather is upon us in the state of Maryland. I believe I’ll do some grilling in the next few days.

Saturday we went to Local Homestead Products Farm in New Windsor MD. It was a great time with the family. Stopped by this BBQ stand (RK’s BBQ) and had an excellent BBQ Sunday. Cornbread topped with pulled pork and coleslaw and BBQ sauce drizzled over it.

Today a milestone celebration for a brother-in-law. When numbers get this big we just don’t list them. He looks good and stays active. That is one of the major keys and one that helps when you get into your senior years.

Random Thoughts of the Day

• I used to push this body and mind too hard. The bills might be coming due.
• I used to worry about age. I’m just glad to wake up each morning.
• At daybreak, I hope to be ready to go out and catch some of that fall color starting to dot the area.
• A fine line between awake and asleep. I straddle that line a lot lately.
