Prognosticators are everywhere for everything. Sports, politics, environment, finances, technology, aliens, and whatever can create some attention. We all dabble at it ourselves. What will the weather be? Who gets the next promotion at the job? Will my team make it to the playoffs?

There are more experts than readers/viewers it seems at times. With legal betting on sports, the screens are filled with shows on what and who to wager on might outnumber the actual games. And the games themselves have stats and odds bettors want to see in real-time.

Then there is the endless flood of commercials for wagering services for every sport you want. How do you think they advertise so much? They are making money hand over fist.

So many flooding the airwaves or your inbox. Religions, employers, family, friends, and neighbors tell you what is right and what to believe.

Evolving at times is uncomfortable. Some get comfortable with certain perspectives and don’t alter them.

I’m no good at predicting most things, but I don’t let that stop me. I’m fairly good with the weather because of riding a motorcycle for a few decades. I used to feel comfortable sharing predictions, but like opinions, that comes with risks now. I’m trying to stay away from predictions now unless pressed for an answer.

But I will make this prediction. It’s going to be a very productive week ahead.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • I love the version of Baby Please Don’t Go by Aerosmith
  • There is a lot to be said for nothing to be said.
  • Everything is Streaming now. I’m sticking to dry land myself.
  • It’s going to be colder out today than I like and I’m not happy about it.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
