This jackhammer was pounding away at this tree stump with a lot of success.
Photography Journey Day 19 – 11/19/24
It was a bit overcast out and I was hoping for more light so I put the camera away early but when we were in the kitchen my better half pointed out this Pileated woodpecker. I believe this is the male. With the red cheek stripe.
And here I was thinking it wasn’t the colorful season after the leaves have fallen.
I’m pretty sure he heard me snapping away.
It’s impressive with how large these birds are.
I guess I should start naming these guys. I’ll be catching them around the yard this winter.
Note sure how much more shooting I’ll get to this day. I’m trying to edit, upload and sort the most recent weeks and then start the process of going through the library and figuring what I haven’t edited and uploaded.
