Tuesday Thunder

Wow, an early morning thunderstorm in late November. Weather never fails to surprise me. So, my motivation to get out and look for a sunrise is damping as I hear the raindrops hitting the window. But I will get out today and walk and shoot because that is what I do.

I probably overshoot sunrises and sunsets anyway. I found a shot I took earlier this week of a storefront window in Ellicott City that I’ll have to revisit. The traffic was so heavy I couldn’t get a shot without a reflection of a car in the window. In some ways though I like it. Where the front of the car is overlapping the barrels on the bottle. It almost looks like a cork because the white SUV has the shape of a bottle when I squint at it. Maybe I’m just tired.

I should get moving though because it will clear up outside by noon, and I need to get some fresh images and stories.

Random Thoughts of the Day – so far

  • I was getting off track for a bit and consuming too many sweets. I got my mind right again but I heard their voices from the pantry.
  • The Maui Invitational wasn’t the same without Bill Walton this year. While not my favorite announcer, he was colorful as hell and always that wonderful smile and warmth. There were still some great close games which he would have gone bonkers over.
  • Rumors of a cold front coming. Chances of me getting an attitude increasing.
  • Some people make me laugh, but not the funny ha ha laugh. The shake your head confused or disgusted laugh.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
