Mid week madness

It’s a damn good day here, despite the cloudy day. Feeling thoughtful and motivated. That quick ride in the fun cart yesterday made me feel alive again even though it was only about a 20 minute loop. Some idiot tried to ruin the trip by tailgating me something fierce. Few things on the highway bother me as much.

Had a great lunch at The Canopy with my better half, and about to resume some exercise I started this morning. I think I’m going to leave the TV off this afternoon and concentrate on my hobbies. So off I go to catch up on some photo editing.

The less the cranes in the background move, the less the boats in the foreground move.

While the photo below might not have contrast in tone it has contrast in subjects.

Stormy times ahead. We all may be carrying a heavy load soon.

These were shot in the summer of 2021. Found them in my last chance pile. Decided to try to salvage a few. Maybe I should have let them sink?

I never know what is good and what isn’t. Yeah I know the technical details. Even some composition and content concepts. But when an image is lacking a few but still catches my eye for some reason I can’t help wonder is this just trash or something to share.

So I padell out into the storm and hope for the best.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • I’m plotting on how to discontinue FaceBook as one of my social media accounts. It might take a little bit, but its a goal.
  • When you put a criminal in charge of the government, why would you be surprised when he fires or does buyouts for FBI, DOJ, and CIA personnel. Who needs law enforcement getting in the way of a good thing.
  • I believe our local county is going to enact a phone ban in schools. While listening to the story, I believe I heard kids spend over 2 hours a day on those devices in school, and 6 hours on it a day on average. Holy crap. I get mad at myself if I spend an hour a day. No wonder we aren’t learning anything. I think its a good thing all schools should adapt.
  • The body is talking back to me for the first time in a bit. I guess I should maintain this level before pushing on too soon.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.

  1. I’m thinking about leaving Facebook and Instagram both. Almost did it today. Not sure what I’m waiting for.

    • I have a good number of people that I worked with over the decades that use groups in FB to keep in touch. And some old neighborhood friends who are out of state now. So I have to make some direct contacts before I just exit stage left.
