Another holiday Monday I was able to enjoy. Way to go retirement. Not working holidays is something I might say till I pass this world because I know what working holidays all the time feels like.
Time with my daughter and granddaughter with a great lunch together at Oscar’s in Woodstock. Then back home to play the afternoon away. What a great way to spend a Monday.
Looks like that mid-weed snow fizzled out completely, which is fine with me. I’d like nothing more than to put the snow shovels away for the season.
I can’t believe it’s almost 9pm, and I’m just getting my first post of the day in and the first mile on the treadmill. That’s okay though because hearing my granddaughter laugh is medicine that my ears needed today.
The warm hung and words from my daughter that she is good. My kids are an immense sort of pride that always puts a smile on my face.
Aside from me being a little undisciplined, it’s been a fine day.
I started the lumber collection, (downed branches) that are now littering the yard. I’ll wander over to my neighbors tomorrow and see if they need help with a tree that came down across their driveway.
Random Thoughts of the Day
- I love being able to put a smile on someone’s face when I give them prints I’ve made.
- I thought I smelled bacon. I didn’t, so I took a pack out of the freezer to cook tomorrow morning.
- I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone overweight driving a Miata.
- I brought enough structure and got better results in first few weeks of this year, that adding more seems like common sense.
