Control

Control is an elusive thing at times. We think we have it, and it’s gone. Maybe it was an illusion that we never had any in the first place. Yes we have control over decisions we make. But a lot of times those are made within a constructed framework of options.

I felt like I regained some control of life when I retired. But when I watch the news, it reminds me of the late 60s when everything seemed out of control.

It’s good to let go of control. For instance, as your children grow up.

Control goes to a lot of people’s heads.

Those that think they have control might want to double check that assumption.

I’ve been told I’m out of control at times.

The only thing I control right now is when this post started and ended.

I guess the warmer temps spurred a little green in the fields, in rows. I wish I could see some green days ahead, but all I see are warning yellow and danger red ones.

So, I will venture out today and look for some positives in life and keep my spirits alive.

Random Thoughts of the Morning

  • Things are beyond scary. Most just don’t recognize it.
  • Life puzzles are the most difficult ones to piece together.
  • I’m feeling good about today, even though it’s fairly packed.
  • That sunrise was a little late, about 7:40am, it had to clear that cloudbank near the horizon.
  • Wait until we all see what we have lost by the cuts to our government.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
