Do you ever feel like unplugging? Until recently, I never really had that urge. I try to keep a balance and I’ve been pretty good at that. But the reason I’d like to unplug isn’t the use and joy I get from working online but the security aspects. I got a note today that one of the medical facilities I’ve used in the past had a data breach.

I’ll take the needed steps and try to protect myself as best possible. But the numbers working hard day and night against us stand a decent chance of wreaking havoc on honest people as far as I can see ahead.

Times have changed and you can’t really unplug.

Like that feeling when I give someone cash. I get this stunned look or even “we don’t take cash” reply.

Life has changed, I used to be able to see the thief coming.

Random Thoughts of the Day

• I’m definitely seeing more classic cars riding around this area.
• I gave myself a gift today. I didn’t watch or read one word of politics.
• Sat on a bench with a couple of older couples eating ice cream this afternoon. And for me to say a couple of older couples that means there were a lot of old people sitting there.
• Another grandchild on the way soon. I pause, gather my thoughts of anticipation, joy, wonder and happiness.
• I gave myself a break from yard work today. I will pay for that tomorrow.
