Memorial Day weekend and temps in the 60s and low 70s making one think of early spring, not the brink of summer. I still got outside in shorts but having to put on a sweatsuit jacket for the morning errands isn’t right.
Pain became an issue this weekend. I started off in poor spirits mentally also but changed that. I fired up the grill, saw the children and grandchildren for a short bit.
And here it is midweek and the temps in the low 50s today and rain are not my idea for the end of May. Unfortunately, the pain is still a companion. Time to make that orthopedic appointment.
I need sun to work on my tan and loosen up this tightly wound body. I need some sand for a bed. I hope next week looks better because this one is a wash.
I’m frustrated that I haven’t been interacting with other bloggers more often. Time has been flying by and consumed by many other priorities. Some planned, some not. Like making a speech soon and having little time to prepare.
Trying to work through issues from Friday through this morning with TV, Internet and phone because Verizon wanted to change hardware. They resolved the phone issue when the tech showed up today quickly on the outside connection.
I’ve been so busy and tired that I’ve slacked on my blogging and photography. I’ll have to work harder to get back into the swing again.
Random Thoughts of the Day
- Today I think about the loss of my mother 14 years ago. Time does not heal all wounds.
- Pardons for sale. See 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
- I’m glad I didn’t have to teach my kids how to push a car downhill and hop in and pop the clutch to get it started.
- I can use pain creatively if it’s in the past. I struggle with it in the present.
