I finished cleaning my ride last night, for the car show at Mikey and Mel’s, later today. I hope to get some good shots to fill some future images to break up all the grey I create rambling on. No, I don’t have the Ferrari below, but I do have a sleek red Miata that I love just as much as this person does their car.
I’m always on the lookout for my favorite color, shade and style for my future paint job. Looking at the upgrades people make and how that changes the look or stance. Or just admiring a classic that is restored to original condition.
With the weather being as close to perfect as you can ask for, there will be a huge crowd. I’ll get there early and hopefully catch a few shots of people coming in around those circles. I usually don’t park on the show side. Maybe next year I start modifying my own.
Anyway, I’m there to enjoy, admire, photograph and run into a few people I may have grown up with. I have one old neighborhood friend who has a pair of Vipers who I met there for the first time in decades earlier this year.
Car shows are still a slice of America where all come to, share, admire, respect and have fun. Maybe I’ll spend one show in the future just shooting all the various people.
Have a great day. I’ll be in and out between the show and chores and trip to the hardware.
