The daily writing prompt is asking to – Create an emergency preparedness plan.
I’d rather spend more time living than prepping but given the climate in this county and around the world it might not be a bad idea spending some more time thinking and acting on it.
We take a lot of important things for granted unfortunately. Basics like our food and water supply. Our energy supply and safety.
To create a plan, you have to figure out what the conditions of the emergency will be. That is the difficult part, and you can spend a lifetime being a prepper and not live your life. So where is that balance, that sweet spot of being ready but living in the moment.
I know I’m not doing nuclear prep. If that happens, we’re all gone and what is left won’t be worth living in.
So, my plan today is to have a good lunch and that way if something happens at least I’ll have a full stomach for a bit.
