To me, automotive paint is an art form in itself. The color blending process. The prep, and the number of coats of unknown formulas that turn out something like this. And I’ve always loved RED. I fell in love with a Medium Red on a 74 Camaro I owned.
I have a Soul Red Mazda Miata now and I get all kinds of questions and complements on the color.
And each time I go to a car show I see a new red I’d like to have my car painted. And this one really caught my interest. If I do get a new paint job it will have stripes or a design in it.
I’ve enjoyed shooting cars this season. About a month and a half to go for most of the shows in this area. Of course, lots of clubs continue to meet year-round like our Miata one. We just switch to Sunday afternoons in the shorter daylight months.
Well, it’s time to motor onto a different subject. We just knocked out another home renovation project by replacing our front doors. And we are both very pleased with the work of B.T. Windows and Doors. The next project is an electrician followed by attic insulation and then maybe a few windows replaced.
I’ve got to get up to my sons this month and do some power washing on his place. Too much talk about chores, back to fun.
Some baseball, some treadmill and some education.
Random Thoughts of the Day
- It’s been too long since I’ve had a fish at the end of the line.
- I just realized our fleet of cars is getting a bit long in tooth.
- When I get a good idea for a practical joke I get a really good smile.
- A lazy day is easier to justify when retired.
