Another nice day out. Hoist those sails, put the wind to your back and let it rip. We had a few logistical things to knock out early today but this afternoon presented some opportunities to make the best of the fading warm weather.
I spent a few minutes taking some pictures around Lake Elkhorn in Columbia while my better half was at a doctor’s appointment. I’ll process them tonight.
Did some storm prep. Got kind of windy out and I noticed the leaves that were on my roof had piled up on the gutters and deck. I have guards on but those were big piles. I have two huge oaks out front, and they are only half done if that and cover things several times.
I have a long pool pole that I kept when I closed the pool and a brush on the end so I can clean the gutters in the front without a ladder.
Gates closed, grills and firepit covered, cushions and hammock stored away, patio umbrellas closed, cover on the car and kindling wood covered.
And there we go, daylight fading but not my spirits. I feel a late-night effort beginning.
