Persistence

I’ve been persistent with this blogging for over a decade now. Still cranking out posts with some frequency with a vague purpose most days. Some chronicling events and plans of the day. Some thoughts of the day. Some pictures of the day.

Occasional commentary on life, politics, sports, kids, grandkids, education, cars, nature and whatever strikes me each day. A lot of feelings and observations from my perspective and experiences. Some of my career points, experiences with friends.

But for what purpose. Yes, I’m still true to my original thought of sharing my photography through my blog which I do by using all my own images. I do it because I thought it would help me grow in that area. And I need to make images more a focus.

The writing part is something that just came upon me as an interest. I know I still have work to do in this area but again the practice may lead to something good eventually. I think I’ll do less writing here and more on my book ideas though.

Doing this blog sometimes while working was difficult. Free time and pressures of the job certainly impacted creativity and productivity.

Now it’s something I look forward to each morning to get me thinking and doing. And as time allows a few more posts here and there.

Okay, time to leave this chair and go out and catch some fall colors I’ll share tonight. I’m sure nature can give the paint shades of red above a go for the money.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • I listened to Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon this morning. Money is a great track, but Time might be my favorite from that album.
  • Life would be difficult without glasses.
  • Not allowing military leaders to speak to Congress is dangerous. And the takeover continues.
  • Using my mind against pain.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
