Gatekeeper

Working on being a better gatekeeper of my time and realizing how important that is. The better I am at it, the happier I seem to be. I allow myself to get sidetracked too often, but I’m working hard on being a finisher.

I was proud of myself when I saw my screen time on the phone to 1 hour a day last week. That is my goal to stay under that each day. And I’d like to get it down to 30 minutes a day max in the future.

I’m reducing my TV time and spending some time on the treadmill while watching.

Focusing and concentrating on important things is the key, even when you get tired or distracted. Returning to the mission, not getting discouraged and finishing what is started.

So let the good things pass the gate, proceed past the small pond and continue the path along the wood line. Success is out there someplace.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • Yesterday was very relaxing.
  • Weather forecasters are really good about telling you what it’s going to do in the next hour. See you can find something nice to say about someone if you try.
  • A good day is when you speak to all your grown children.
  • I wonder if a movement to support a federal worker is needed. The people that are responsible for managing them certainly are failing.
  • I didn’t do much shooting yesterday, but I did a ton of editing and uploading. I need to reverse that today and take advantage of the color outside.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
