Different Thursday

Woke not feeling 100% so took it easy today. First time in a while I slept during the day. At least the headache has subsided. I didn’t venture out more than a few feet on the back deck today with the camera.

I did have a visitor on the screen and one on the deck railing. The wasp seemed to be on his last days.

The last cutting of the lawn will be this weekend. Then winterizing the mowers and store them for the season.

Burning Again

I humped a half cord of wood, stacked in a few spots for easy access and covered it on Wednesday before the rains today. First time we have got wood in a while. I haven’t used the fireplaces in a bit, but I’ve had my wood burning stove going and I will have it fired up this weekend.

Music and the Mind

I can’t explain it. Music does something to me. Actually, it does a lot of things to me and always has. It can rescue me. It can also get me in trouble (tunes and a manual gearbox). It brightens my attitude when I need it to. And tonight is one of those times.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • Don’t fight that urge, if it’s a good thing.
  • Missed the news today. Not a bad feeling.
  • It’s odd to be doing my second post of the day just before midnight when the early morning is more the norm.
  • Time to finish October strong tomorrow.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
