Thirsty Thursday

That is the title a couple of my friends, and I attribute to this day of the week. We usually gather sometime during the week and when it lands on a Thursday it’s a Thirsty Thursday day. I think it gets them to wound up. But who am I to say, a man without enough limitations.

Anyway, it’s good to be upright and happy another day in life. Some music has it off to a bright start and a good night’s rest for a change of pace. So, a lot of energy and positive mindset is at hand to spend on the day.

A trip to the art supply store is needed. Especially to pick up some things for my granddaughter who is a budding artist, like her mom. I wish I had a natural talent. But I’m one who needs a lot of practice, trial and error before I start to knock out something I’m proud of.

I’ve seen my daughter and granddaughter doodle and say I couldn’t do that in 20 attempts. But that is part of what makes my work rewarding. It takes some time and is a journey.

Time to get back to some chores before more fun.

The winds didn’t help last night. I still need to get out with the leaf blower and rake but it’s still blowing hard out there this morning. There is a rumor of flurries this coming Monday and rain this weekend so my window for clearing is limited.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • Sunrises are calming, to me. I take some time before the actual sunrise to watch the sky start to come alive. And then that first sliver of sun across the horizon. I wish I was at the beach in person watching it come up over the Atlantic.
  • I have to call and schedule some dental work. I’ve put that call off 3 for days, but I guess I have to make it eventually so here it goes.
  • Looks like travel just became a lot more complicated.
  • Living like you’re on permanent vacation.
  • Each year this vessel that carries this twisted mind gets decreasingly tolerant of cold weather.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
