Just a few shots below from a while back on a sunny morning. The small town of Ellicott City is one I love to shoot in. It feels like home.

Had a great meal at LeeLynn’s with my daughter yesterday. It was so nice just to catch up together without other family or children around. Not that I don’t love that, it’s just taken over most of the time we have together. So those one on ones are special. And we are planning to make it a more regular thing.

Which I like because there are some things I’d like to share with her and my son as I get older.

Maybe I’ll head back out after the rains today for some night shooting in this sleepy little place.

I’m drawn to this town for several reasons. It’s close by. It’s scenic. It has water running through and around it. The train goes through town. It has museums. Locals are friendly. As are most who visit. Several good places to eat.

Got married in this town. Worked in this town. Walked with friends and family in this town. And now the HoCo Arts Council has moved to the old Circuit Court building, so I’ll be going there to check out local artists regularly.

Random Thoughts of the Day

• So many young kids now don’t know the sounds of bells coming down the street mean the Ice Cream truck was on its way.
• I made a decision and I have a new tractor on the way. This should save me time and energy. I think cutting the yard with that little push mower one more time might have killed it.
• Sometimes when I’m exhausted, I’m really at peace with myself. Like last night.
• I figured out why my back hurts. We used to have to get up to change the channel.
• So were back at war again. This is something that will span into the next administration because of one idiot.
