Sometimes fog before daylight is a photographer’s friend.

A tranquil lake shrouded in fog, with silhouettes of trees on the shore and a small boat with a person fishing in the distance.

I’ve been feeling a bit in a fog myself. I think it’s been this off and on rain for days. It could be the feeling of being a little overwhelmed at times. Maybe the uncertainty of doctor and dentist appointments. The always present and pressing financial decisions.

I don’t want to be one of those one in four Americans strapped or bankrupted by healthcare bills. I hope we can escape that fate.

I’ve got to clear my head and get busy again. I let Thursday get away from me and the coming days are packed. Of course, that flies in the face of my doctor’s suggestion to increase the number of hours I sleep. Doctors make a lot of suggestions. Most I listen to, but sleep hasn’t been one of them.

Two fishermen in small boats on a misty lake surrounded by trees.

The wetness is supposed to subside today but it’s summer in the mid-Atlantic so it can rain at any time. Regardless I’m pulling the cover off the car and taking a ride later.

Oh, one other highlight of the morning. My new tractor was delivered and now I’ve cut the yard the first time with it and what a pleasure. Both reduced time on it and a better-looking cut.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
