Woke this morning to discover some light rain snuck in while I was catching 4 hours sleep. I just finished wiping down the car and throwing the cover on it. No car show, even though the rain stopped. Even though the rain will probably hold off till this afternoon, the roads are still wet and that means DIRT. The mortal enemy of car enthusiast. That is the weather around here. Spotty and inconsistent. We sometimes take our chances but today isn’t one of them.
Such is life. I think the saying goes “into every life, a little rain must fall.” But I won’t let that deter me today.
In Texas they have way too much water and flooding. On the other hand, Lake Meade is at critically low levels. And here we are at war, each side bombing desalination plants in the Gulf region taking away water for people.
Not sure why my focus was on water except for the unexpected shower this morning. I’ll look out at the rain this afternoon with calm and anticipation of having my feet in the water later this summer.
But right now, it’s time for some water in the shower.
