Friday Folies

Sleeping in feels good some days. And today was one of those days. I was out later than normal last night with friends and that combined with a couple of restless nights before contributed to the need for rest. Didn’t do much for my back but my mind felt fresh again.

It’s FRIDAY again and that means it’s all downstream from here baby. Got to wind up the go-cart again today and put the top down and enjoy a ride today.

I reminded my working stiff friends last night that it was Early OUT Friday. Especially the one that has to travel across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Traffic this weekend will be heavy.

Textures is a project I’m working on now. It feels great to have that printer humming again. Made about 40 8x10s the last day or two. Searching through the archive for images that I feel fit the narrative is also a lot of fun.

The night is packed with chores and finishing up some projects before a little fun this weekend. At least the mowing is done for another week.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • I reversed my normal listening routine this morning. I started off with the more aggressive tunes and now I have the mellow stuff working.
  • It feels good to have grass dominating the yard again instead of weeds. I think I’ve successfully run off the mole that was wreaking havoc.
  • The amount of money being spent by big money individuals and businesses on the upcoming election will be sickening, disgusting and excessive. Find out who they are spending it all on and vote the other way.
  • Tailgating bothers me more than most other traffic transgressions. Of course, running past stopped school buses also makes my blood boil.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
