One of the last bastions of journalism I admire, The New York Times.

Trust in anything is a hard thing to find now. Enough seeds of doubt have been planted. More biased ownerships have taken control of most media. Controlling the message like we used to think about communist countries has invaded our shores.

I’m old enough to remember a newsman called Walter Cronkite. He was known as the most trusted man in America. If that man said something I bet 90% or more of this country believed it as the truth. Newspapers were trusted sources of information. Most people believed what the government said.

So how do we reestablish so much lost trust. The easy part is first calling out the blatant bullshit that is being slung daily and must stop. Our children are being taught you can do one thing and say another and get away with it. That is the first lesson you teach a child that is WRONG.

One of my few hopes is that we haven’t confused the younger voting generation so much that they either don’t participate or haven’t blinded them with bullshit.

My thoughts are that we as a society must keep searching for the truth in every situation. That way we can move onto solutions that make sense.
