Sun lover

The morning chores are completed. I’ve danced between a few of them because music reminds me to be happy. And there are a lot of songs that trigger those feelings. And when I pulled the CD case from the trunk a few minutes ago and found a few classic’s I hadn’t listened to in a while I put them in the front seat with me for today’s ride and glide.

I was up early today but missed the sunrise because I went back for a nap. I won’t miss sunset though. I try to catch both each day. Being in my senior years, that seed of doubt, which one will be the last has entered the thoughts somedays. I dread the idea of not being able to get outside one day and see them.

To me it’s a visceral feeling. Even if I have to see the sunlight through the trees in the backyard in the mornings or from my front porch in the evening. I don’t have a water view so it’s special to me when I do.

I’ve got to make a point of getting out to different spots in the county at those times. Have a good afternoon, all.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • I’m not so sure if there is a reason for everything.
  • Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd is a great song.
  • Keep smiling, it keeps them wondering.
  • When friends lose parents, it reminds you of your own losses.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
