And onto the 4th task

I’m up to my last task of the day. This one isn’t a fun one, but it must be done. And that is cutting the first 2/3 of the yard. But the day started with my first priority, the local car show put on for Wreaths Across America at Turf Valley. I donationed to that cause as I have in the past because I believe in what they do. Which is honor our fallen service men and women at Christmas time.

Today was the rain date so I don’t think it was as well attended as in the past. Saturday was just too iffy for the show. It was still a fine event. I got there at the start at 8am and many had already showed up and were busy buffing their prized possessions. I only stayed for 90 minutes because it was onto the next task.

I love car shows for a few reasons. I love cars, the styles and designs along with how people personalize them. There are so many details that normal people just pass by and don’t notice. It could be as mild as some ghosted flames or as loud as a massive blower.

Here are a few shots of the hundred or so I snapped.

I like old school

Of course there were a lot of Vette’s there.

Style and Substance

Beep Beep.

A detailed mural on the rear of a vintage car, featuring animated characters Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner set against a desert landscape with a sunset.

One at a time please.

A classic black and orange Chevrolet pickup truck driving down a street with a person in a green staff shirt in the foreground. Other vintage cars are visible in the background.

I heard these guys coming miles away.

A vibrant green classic Dodge Charger driving through a car show, with various vintage cars parked and attendees observing. Colorful banners line the area, and several cars have their hoods open.

And the collector of the day goes to this car and his accessories. He had tons of old maps from very old times on the front of it.

A classic red car parked at a car show with decorative items on its hood, surrounded by attendees, some holding drinks and chatting, while vintage oil cans are displayed on the ground.

Bet most couldn’t figure out how to get these hoods up.

Slippery when wet – Or

An engine compartment featuring a colorful engine cover with a design and a humorous sign that reads, 'But officer... the sign instructed me to do a burnout.'

Cars weren’t the only ones dressed for the occasion.

A woman in a cherry-patterned dress stands outdoors, holding a small device, with a classic red car and a white pickup truck in the background.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
