CFFC 1.26 – Worship

This is my first post joining the fun at Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge. Dan got my hooked on his Thursday Doors challenge and now I’m drawn into this for the same reasons, to improve my photography skills. And meet more good people like Dan along the way while seeing some other inspiring images.

This week – Where/What We/They Worship – CFFC

It’s just a coincidence that I had recently shot an old church I went to as a young child. I don’t think it’s used much anymore because that little church, a one room schoolhouse and another small building for classes of 1st-8th grade took place are overshadowed by a huge new church and school complex.

So here are a few shots of St Louis Chapel in Clarksville Maryland.

It looks a lot smaller than it was when I was 5 years old.

Old churches always have special touches.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.

  1. Welcome to CFFC, Mike. That’s a beautiful church, and yours are lovely photos. I love stone buildings, and you captured some great details. It is amazing how much smaller things are today than they were when we were children.

    • Very true. I also got a bit nervous walking around it remembering Sister Agnes Marie. If you are familiar with the scene in the Blues Brothers where they went to visit the nun after getting out of prison and she beats Elwood and Jake with a yardstick. That was me and a guy named Chester our nun would be whaling on.
