Just horsing around

In no particular direction this morning. I’ve slept in for a change. A few chores completed, and about to exercise a bit. My ever-present partner of pain is talking to my foot this morning. And I’m very thankful that it’s just that as I limp to the fridge for a drink.

I take great pride in being healthy enough to be upright and out and about. It’s nothing to be taken for granted. And yet we do. So many other pressures suck the joy out of life. They make us forget about the simple joys and things we should be thankful for.

On a ride last week, I passed a horse farm on the way home from the southern end of the county.

This one wandered down to see me and looked so deeply into my eyes and just kept this intense look. I said hello and its lips moved a bit.

I said nice house and I hoped you’re being treated well.

I would have loved to get closer, but it’s marked private property and I respect that.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • Fridays that look like rain all day are a pain in the butt.
  • Hard work is good for the body at any age. You just have to adjust the speed and duration as you age.
  • It makes me sad that a lot of people who resort to drugs for weight loss really don’t need to. I only say that because I was able to get control of it by changing my mindset. I still eat what I want. Just a lot less of it.
  • Life would be a lot more fun if we could work on the same schedule as Congress.
  • Every time I think I get a relatively open week, it fills up before my eyes in a blink of an eye.
  • Oh yeah, almost forgot to share my opinion that Trump is still a lying piece of crap and worthless human being.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
