Did you ever have a day you just felt like losing yourself. Letting life take you where it will. Today feels like that. I woke up early and worked on a few posts. I’m almost finished editing the 500+ photos I took from the car show in Ocean City and uploading them.

I feel like getting some exercise so as soon as I get up from here, I’m hitting the weight and treadmill.

The cameras are fully charged and ready to capture some fall color and local life today. And by noon it will be warm enough to drive with the top down.

It’s leftovers day for food and I don’t care in the least because I have something good to eat. Knowing people that struggle with that simple thing (lack of food) keeps me appreciative.

Spending some time reading and writing also sounds appealing. What I don’t want to spend time reading is that Medicare and You 2027 book that came.

I might take the Dremel tools outside and work on some wood. And I put a fresh piece of watercolor paper on the easel.

All this involves ignoring other chores. I wonder what I’ll get away with doing, before responsibilities are acknowledged. I have my irresponsible days though.

I hope yours is a good day.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • I see a lot of opportunities for moving the bar today.
  • The coming months of political fighting will make a serious attempt to ruin the holiday season.
  • What amazes me is that so many so-called Americans are still willing to vote for the Putin/Trump ticket.
  • Time to crank up the fireplace or the firepit tonight.
  • Only one more cut of the lawn anticipated. I always feel like I have won against mother nature after surviving another season of lawn care. And then comes winter and it knows I have no power tools other than me and a shovel and she wins again.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
