Rocky Raccoon

Which animal would you compare yourself to and why? – Another question I’m not really into from the daily prompt.

Okay, I’ll play along for a second. – The first thing that came to mind was a racoon. I’m usually up and about at night. I’m curious and resourceful. I like to play and have fun. I’m a problem solver at times.

It’s also a Beatles song I kinda like Rocky Racoon

I love animals. I hate it when I see them treated poorly. What we do to our environment is harmful to most animals. We complain when we see them in our over developed neighborhoods. I guess they missed the redevelopment planning/zoning meetings.

I try to live in harmony with animals and respect them.

Animal instinct

Which animal would you compare yourself to and why? – The daily writing prompt asks.

I feel like a wolf. As Google says – Wolves are complex, highly intelligent animals who are caring, playful, and above all devoted to family. Only a select few other species exhibit these traits so clearly. Just like elephants, gorillas and dolphins, wolves educate their young, take care of their injured and live in family groups.

The highly intelligent part is a bit arrogant, so I’ll substitute highly aware of people and surroundings as well as fairly good instincts. Plus I roam at night and are active around dawn and dusk which are normal for me.

Bear it

Which animal would you compare yourself to and why? So ask the Daily Writing prompt this morning.

An interesting question but one I didn’t feel like spending much time on. And I think I came across the answer on the second animal I looked up. I first thought about a cat but that isn’t it.

So I looked up the personality traits of Bears. And Google says they “are very gentle and tolerant animals. Mother bears are affectionate, protective, devoted, strict, sensitive, and attentive with their young. Not unlike people, bears can be empathetic, fearful, joyful, playful, social, and even altruistic.”

And why, well I feel I have these traits and I’m a bit of a bear to deal with according to my better half. I’ve had a beard my entire life. Well since I was very young. I’ve always been on the hairy side, not bear-like, but I do have chest hair

Like bears when I’m hungry I’m not happy. Like bears, if you think of messing with my family, remember the song title “Flirting with Disaster.” Like a bear, I have no trouble getting comfortable.
