The daily writing prompt asks – Where did your name come from?

My parents. Other than that, I don’t know squat about it. I know when my mom called me by my full name that I was in trouble.

Okay now onto more important things. It’s Thursday and another sloppy start to the day in central Maryland. The Atlantic Ocean looks quite disturbed today with that hurricane churning offshore. I wish I was down there photographing the storm.

It certainly isn’t feeling like August here. More like early November. Hopefully we will have an Indian Summer and make up for these cool temps.

I’m going out to pull the cover off my car and give it a bath later. It’s car show season and I’m not showing up on Saturday with a dirty ride. If I’m not mistaken, the Turf Valley show will be my first stop that day.

I wouldn’t mind owning a ride like this, but I’d just get in trouble. Photo by Mike Hartley

Even though the color combination appeals to me and that giant 582 engine sounds good the gauge setup in this car caught my eye first.

This prompt got me thinking. I haven’t named my car yet. I’ll have to give this some thought. Maybe a personalized license plate. I just checked the first name that came to mind. Maryland has 7 character limit. How about MYTHRPY. I just checked the state site and it’s available.

Where did your name come from? – The Daily Writing prompt asks this early Wednesday morning.

My parents.

Okay, onto more important things. Another beautiful day on tap. That full moon was impressive this evening but I’m looking forward to the bright sunshine and the top down on the Miata.

But right now I’m listening to RIGHT NOW by Van Halen from a live performance and it’s getting me in the right spirit for the day.
