What’s your favorite word? – Asks the daily writing prompt.
Another softball question today that I’ll just leave a short answer for. My favorite word is Papa. A word I don’t say often but love to hear from my grandchildren as they see me and run at me. Or throughout the day when they want to play or have something to eat. I say it when they leave our home, or I say goodbye to them at their home. I’ll say Papa loves you.
What is your favorite word? – Now there’s a head-scratching question. Good one daily writing prompt.
I thought hard about this one. I was stumbling around with several other choices when it became clear. My favorite word is NICE.
I stepped outside this morning in gym shorts, paused, and said “Nice.” Because it was the perfect temperature and a sunny day.
Just like when I see a beautiful muscle car or Harley and hear it rumble by, I go “Nice.”
Or when I get to the beach and put the blanket down, get the umbrellas set up and chairs unfolded for others. Then I lay down on my towel wiggle my body shape in the sand, settle in listening to the waves, and say quietly “Nice.”
When a waiter sits a plateful of seafood in front of me I always say “nice” to myself and probably out loud also.
As I wake and can move freely without pain and it lasts for the first few hours of the day I start to think “Nice.”
Anytime I see something or someone beautiful I think “nice.”
When all my family is in my home I shake my head, savor the moment and say “Nice.”
Hoping to catch many beautiful sights today. Photo by Mike Hartley
