Not Much

Another question on fashion from the daily prompt. – What are your two favorite things to wear?

Short answer – my bathing suit and the picture below.

I don’t like clothes, therefore another reason to dislike the season we are entering.

I like feeling the sun on my skin.

I like feeling a breeze across the hairs on my arm.

I like stepping barefoot on the sand warmed by the early morning sun.

Wardrobe question

The Daily Writing prompt asks, “What are your two favorite things to wear?“.

Being a warm weather lover, the less I’m wearing the better. I love the feel of the sun on my skin. So, my answer would be gym shorts/sneakers or bathing suit/flip-flops.

But being I occasionally venture outside the property; I have a rack of favorite tee shirts to make myself more presentable. And if we are going more formal, I like a few Hawaiian button-down collared shirts that are nice and colorful.

My better half says I clean up nicely, but she is a much better judge of the good clothes. I don’t hate wearing something nice like a suit, but I’m just more comfortable in less.

Many years ago, I had a beautiful pinstriped suit that was my favorite. I outgrew it about 3 decades ago and held onto it for almost 2 but donated it thinking I’d never get back to that size. Low and behold here I sit wishing I’d kept it because there is a very good chance it would be close to fitting again.

A good friend took this shot of me about 15 years ago. No, the eye patch isn’t real. I was the designated pirate on this fishing adventure. And it appears I have an extra 30-40 pounds that I don’t have now. I still have that shirt but haven’t worn it in ages. I should go try it on and see if it hangs like a tent on me.

One of my best friends got us all special shirts for that trip signifying our fishing team and nicknames.
