Relive

An interesting question from the daily prompt today – If you could relive one day from your past, which day would it be and why?

No one day, leapt to mind immediately on this one. The first day of retirement was pretty good. That relaxed feeling was so good and hasn’t left me since. So, I’ve been living with that for a few years now and it still feels good.

The days my children were born was wonderful but very stressful so I’m not sure I want to repeat that. Now the day they both graduated from college was a pretty great day. Relaxed, joyful, proud, inspired and happy.

Of course, the days my grandchildren were born was very special for obvious reasons.

There was a day in NYC with my better half earlier this year that was so relaxed and filled with an ease that only comes with time together.

Christmas morning with my children and grandchildren is pretty nice. It’s hard to beat the happiness I see in the children and grandchildren throughout that whole day.

That day of deep-sea fishing with the boys and catching a ton of big tuna was a blast that we haven’t repeated in a very long time.

The day my dad brought home our first pet was pretty special. One of my best memories when I was young. We were just a happy family that day. I wish it had lasted longer.

Maybe I’ll make today one that I’d like to relive in the future. Don’t know why, nothing special planned yet. But the possibility remains and that is exciting.
