I would like a lid

I’ve never been a person to wear a hat. Maybe the baseball hat when a youth playing baseball. I have a few baseball caps that I wear during the summer but that’s about it. Oh yeah, I have a floppy summer hat I’ll use on the beach sometimes.

But hats have been intriguing me for a while now. I’ve ventured into a few stores and cruised online. I loved the hat that Ronnie Van Zant wore. Not sure if it would look good on me though.

I’m actually looking for a few hats. One summer like on the table in front here. But also, something stylish for the cooler seasons.

A street view of a shop displaying various hats and apparel outside, with colorful hats on a rack and flat-brimmed hats stacked on a table, set against a blue brick building.

I’ll keep you updated and provide a photo if I make a decision. Maybe spend some time this week stopping in a store or two.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • I’m older and I thought I lived through dangerous times before. Well, this one might take the cake.
  • You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream. Cherry Ice Cream Sodas are my favorite.
  • There is now a limit on how much sun I can get in a day. I don’t like that limit.
  • Pizza the breakfast of champions.

Top of da morning to you

Cruising into a new week in style. And why not. This shot I took this weekend reminded me of this morning.

I don’t own a lid as stylish as that one, but I’ve been thinking of getting a hat. A real one besides the baseball caps and floppy beach hats.

My better half thinks I need a lot of new clothes. And she is probably right. A lot of the things I have now hang off me.

Once this morning fog clears, I’m going to head out and get some new photos today.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • Retirement perk. Rising on a Monday morning and taking the time to cook up a pound of bacon and nibble away at it through the day.
  • Does anyone else feel like another tech bubble is about to explode and not in a good way?
  • And here I thought I was done with school calendars.
  • My kids are strong and loving parents. I’m so proud of them.
