Okay

Another fresh start to the week. And what a week it will be with the heat. No problem for me, I like it warm. I’m guessing it’s no problem for these guys either, warm weather is more natural for them.

A busy week ahead is planned which is nice. Especially when it includes family and friends. I’ll be catching up with some old friends this weekend also.

An evening to go out and do some detailing on my car now that the yard work is complete for the day. Maybe some carving after that. So let me get the worktable outside and get moving.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • Good tanning weather.
  • Waiting to see some baby robbins out back soon.
  • Hard physical work isn’t a bad thing for the body as long as it’s not overdone.
  • We need to look harder at our priorities and think about the whole.

Busy

It’s good to be busy when you’re doing things you enjoy and I’ve been busy doing that. Thursday night with the boys, Friday morning and afternoon with our granddaughter, a dinner downtown, and a concert at Pier 6 in Baltimore for a great show by Little Feat with my better half.

Saturday we finished up with a trip to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore with our daughter and granddaughter. What a run of fun. And now I get a day to savor all the family time I’ve had lately by kicking back and doing little to nothing on Sunday.

Captured a few fellow creatures we share the earth with below on the iPhone. I also took my old Kodak with me but haven’t downloaded those yet. So be prepared to be bored with some more animal shots in the coming days.

I’ll get right to the point. The Zoo is a great place to visit. Families and couples. Saw a few sailors that were visiting from Fleet Week. I didn’t realize the size of this place. I believe it’s 135 acres.

This has kind of inspired me to visit the National Zoo in DC sometime this year.

I’m guessing otters and children are in and out of the water at about the same rate. Photo by Mike Hartley

It was a good day for a swim.

I always feel somewhat sad for animals like this who belong in the wild. Photo by Mike Hartley

With temp about 80 degrees and no humidity the animals outside were active.

It’s a fine zoo and maybe I’ll get a chance to go with my grandson also someday.

Random Thoughts of the Day.

  • Take advantage of each day.
  • Milwaukee shouldn’t be upset. Trump hates everything besides himself.
  • I believe I’ll enlarge my office. By cleaning out the junk.
  • It’s getting to be too much of an effort to keep in touch with some people.
