Goodbye September

A beautiful day in Maryland to end the month with. Why each month seems busier than the last is always a wonder to me. I guess that means I’m having a good time. This month was filled with both good and hard times.

I enjoyed the view below and more like this in the state of Maryland. We ventured into Pennsylvania for a 90th birthday party for an aunt. In addition to 9/11 being my mom’s birthday it was the 25th anniversary of the tragic 9/11. I spent some time remembering that event. How the country came together.

Hopefully we can all start pulling in the same direction together again.

We spent time with our children and grandchildren. Saw another grandchild start school. We had a wonderful day on the Chesapeake Bay with my best friend and his wife. Attended a music festival and a funeral.

Luckily no doctor’s appointments and only one dentist appointment. Did some pet sitting and got our vaccines.

Not enough time devoted to my hobbies which I’ll be on a mission to correct in October.

Today I have to finish transitioning my photo site between some home chores. There is much to be done on that front to prepare for the seasonal changes. Yesterday was the first of several more cuts that will involve chopping up the multitude of leaves that fall.

One chore I don’t miss is winterizing a pool. One, it’s hard work and two it’s depressing.

In some ways it was a great month, in others it was very disappointing.

I worry about a good friend who had significant loss. I worry about another friend who’s near rock bottom.

Onto October my friends.
