Maybe the few hottest days of summer are upon us. That’s one reason I was up at 2am starting this piece. I love warm summer nights. That means warm mornings and sunsets. And I can take the heat of the day anytime over freezing temps. So this is my season. Was going to do some night shots but a nap was in order first. I was lucky enough to wake before sunrise and get my behind in gear for a few images. And what a wonderful warm start to the day.
Mornings are so peaceful and quiet. Just the gentle lapping of waves against the shore. Silhouettes of shapes and sizes. A passing bird landing on a sandbar. I can never get enough of it. And the opportunity to get out and revel in this area is wonderful. Health and happiness is an unbeatable pair.
Every time I get out like I did this morning I think about the time in the hospital or laid up or back and forth for test. It makes me appreciate the moment more. I stood at the shore of the bay in several spots today and just felt so thankful to be standing there.
So to those less fortunate, I take in nature and its glory, and try to pass some along to you this morning. I should have had the video camera out but maybe tomorrow.
That reminds me, when I get back I have to take my Nikon in for a cleaning. Got to keep your tools in good working order. And being I really don’t have a good backup yet, I’ll get the maintenance done.
The hotter the temps, the more people in the water. Wait on the lifeguards please.
Well, time to work on the tan. Stay hydrated. Stay cool if possible. Stay safe.
More to say and show later. The sun has to set sometime doesn’t it?
One thing all media (left and right) agree on is that this is a country clearly divided and of two Americas.
Funny how you might have trusted a person before you started speaking politics. It goes to show you there is a lot more to life than politics and that you should still look at the core of the person you trusted and find common ground. Or at least peacefully disagree.
Music makes a morning complete.
