Calm before the Storm

I love getting up before dawn. I feel creative in the early mornings, it’s quiet with little to no interruptions. It feels like I get more done at this time of day than any other part. When it’s warmer I’m out and about capturing images of others catching morning waves be it here at home, at the beach or where ever I am.

But not this morning, lots of tasks to knock out before more craft time. I think I’ll make my better half some breakfast first and then enlist her help with some logistical things.

Even thought the sun will be making an appearance today we are expecting some significant rainfall and strong winds tomorrow and Wednesday. That combo could lead to a loss of power so I’ll have to get prepared for that possibility.

So I should work on a few post for the next few days and schedule them just in case. Then make all the outdoor and indoor preparations on the home today. I’ll get all the devices and batteries for the cameras charged today. I haven’t been out shooting flood photos in a while and I hope that isn’t the case tomorrow, but I see a flood watch posted already. Also a high wind advisory.

Mother Nature will do what she will do. I wish everyone facing her wrath the best this week.

Dining Tip of the Day

The Bluestone Restaurant in Timonium Maryland is one of our family favorites. Usually meeting up there around the holiday season. The Shrimp Tacos and Calamari were my choice. The service, food and atmosphere are great.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • I feel opportunity right before me. I’m reaching for it.
  • I’m trying to embrace change. It’s a large thing to get your arms around.
  • When you think your challenging yourself enough, add a little more.
  • A day of anticipation. Important appointment coming up.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
