Traditions

Write about a few of your favorite family traditions. I’m wondering if I’ll continue on with these writing prompts. I guess it’s good practice and I do enjoy some of the Bloganuary questions.

A family week at the beach has been one long standing tradition.

To Go (goodie) Bags – We don’t usually let our kids leave empty handed. Be it a piece of clothing my better half got while shopping or maybe something they needed at the grocery store. Lots of time my better half and I cook extra and if they are by we send them home with some. Maybe a treat for their pets, and of course something for the grandchildren at a minimum. Like yesterday, something for each of the little ones was purchased so when we gather this weekend they again won’t leave empty handed. Something our parents did for us.

We gather on Birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas – Always have, always will.

If you go to the shore without the family you bring something back to the family – examples – Fishers Popcorn, Salt water taffy, Lump crab meat, Sweet corn from MD Eastern shore.

To name just a few.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
