Do you vote in political elections? – The Daily Writing prompt asks on this fine Friday morning.
Yes, I vote in every election, primaries, local and general. It is my belief if you don’t vote, keep your mouth shut because if you can’t do the simplest thing you have no right to complain.
This form of government we set up only works if the people are involved. It’s astonishing to me that so many don’t vote. Yes sometimes the selection of choices isn’t what we want but those people will be making decisions that affect your life so you better pay attention and get involved.
And to those thinking that violence is the solution if your selection doesn’t win please reconsider.
