Most all my sunrises at the beach last week were muted or nonexistent. There were 2 that were nice but the nights were clearer than the days but there were some storms also at night. One of the cloudiest and wettest weeks I can remember.

No problem though, a good time was had and grandchildren are endless entertainment. Even when watching them nap. But what a scene when they are up and at’em. One of the movies that was playing that week was the original Ghostbusters. I started calling my grandson Gozer The Destructor. The destroyer of sand castles.

I don’t know how people are unhappy at the beach unless a hurricane is coming through.

I will be returning to the ocean, in August for a day trip or two of photography, fun, and relaxation. Mostly photography. There are several spots I would like to try that I haven’t shot from before.

It was good to get away, I feel kind of recharged and creative again. And now back at home base with both computers being exercised, the cameras snapping, and the printer humming along we are ending the month on a strong note.

Physically I’m doing more daily with the treadmill and weights, I just need to keep it up. And the combination of mixing both computer time and exercise seems to be beneficial. I used to keep them separate.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • It’s one thing having strangers and delivery vehicles speeding down your dead-end street. It’s another when neighbors do it.
  • I got out of sorts for a few days. Not looking at all the opportunities I had.
  • My granddaughter is itching to get over and put a new height mark on the doorway of her age.
  • On the other hand, I feel like I’m getting shorter.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
