If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell? – A wonderfully timed question from the daily writing prompt.
I would sell Generators.
We just got our power back after a 30-hour outage. The sun was up this morning and I had just returned from filling up the 5-gallon gas can for the generator. I was about to fire up the power source to generate some electricity.
But BG&E came to the rescue and restored power before the anticipated time. Thanks again to all the linemen/women working hard to turn our power back on.
We’ve lived in a rural area surrounded by woods in a vastly developed county. Many might say overdeveloped. So we are familiar with power outages from storms. To us, a 6-hour outage is like some experiencing the lights blinking. We’ve had a few over a week in duration.
So the need for alternative power is considerable. And when the masses start to experience more and more of these events it’s going to blossom into great sales.
The quiet used to be nice in power outages, now it’s just the roar of generators.
