Our monthly Miata club meeting starts in about 5 minutes. It’s cloudy and hazy out which isn’t any good for photographing. It’s cold out which I abhor. Yeah, I know, I’m slacking. I should have been ready a few hours ago but a leisurely morning with my better half and time got away from me.
Everyone in the club seems nice so far. I’ve only been to a half dozen meetings but it’s an active group who really like this car. The Facebook group is active every day with multiple posts. It’s a very helpful and responsive club.
It seems to encourage the feeling I used to have when seeing another biker and acknowledging them. I also like the ideas and modifications a lot of them have done.
I’ve got a virgin (stock) model that I haven’t modified yet but the time is soon coming. Mostly because of age, my go-cart will be 9 years old next year. This coming year I hope to do a bit more photography for the group and maybe go to one of the track events and also do some shooting.
All I know is these cars are a lot of fun to drive and finding a group of fellow enthusiasts is a nice treat.
Which reminds me with the rains coming in a few hours I should go throw the cover on the ride. I’ve thought about storing it this winter for a month or two.
