Making it work

I was excited about the weekend but the body had other ideas. No problem because I hope to make up for a lost opportunities. I started out strong on chores yesterday but faded fast and didn’t do any new shooting. But I did try to educate myself and did a few test.

Photography Journey Day 9 recap– 11/9/24

Uploaded some of this week’s shooting to the Zenfolio site.

Watched another video or two on shooting wildlife. Going to try some continuous shooting this week. Being rather old school photography, (film generation) I never wasted frames. And I never got that chip removed from my memory banks. I’ve finally accepted the new world and to take advantage of the tools.

Yes I know they had motor drives back in my day but they were beyond my financial reach.

I took some time to look at and optimize settings. I did a little experimenting with Noise Reduction settings and have decided to keep it on Low. This camera doesn’t allow it to be off apparently. Changed JPEG resolution to high and tinkered with shooting RAW options.

It might be that I may have to use exposure compensation a bit more with this camera than the DSLR Nikon. I’m going to have to do some side by side testing.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
